Chapter 6 - Consequences Of A Pissed Off Community

Clearly, the first step is to complain to your local officials.
If your complaints fall on deaf ears, then VOTE THEM OUT
or start a petition to ban Photo Enforcement!
The following video's and links show what can happen.

In New Mexico

On 3-27-2k9, an article in the Las Cruces Sun-News shows the
Mayor and the Police spokesman refusing to answer a simple question,

"How fast do you have to be driving above the speed limit to get a ticket?"

Refusal to answer this question is clearly unacceptable.

On 3-31-2k9, I call out the Mayor, on video, at a Town Hall
Meeting about his refusal to answer the question.
Business Owners and the people of Las Cruces, take note
of my 2 questions about Redflex that the Mayor was not aware of.
Granted, it's not the Mayor's job to know compliance issues of
every Contractor, but Redflex should be RED-FACED about it.

On 4-2-2k9, I emailed (and CC'd the Las Cruces Sun-News)
Police Chief Romero demanding an answer and still have not received a response.

On 4-3-2k9, I filed an official complaint with
the Las Cruces Police Dept regarding the Chief.

I also read my official complaint in an open forum put on by
Justice and Security Strategies Inc, a company hired by the City
to determine the need for possible community oversight.
