"Revenue up 35% to $57.5 million", " Reported NPBT $6.1 million"

NPBT is Net Profit Before Tax

"Hey Dan, here are the Studies."

You have seen this already, but here it is again
Old Dominion Study (1999)

This is a Study relating to the Equation in Chapter 2.  Even though the
claim payouts increased, total premium increases
provided a healthy $5.3B profit for Insurance Companies.

Florida Public Health Review 2008

This Study shows increases in overall crashes and crash costs.
(Dan, take a look at Tables 5.1 & 5.5)

Virginia Study (2007)

This Study shows reductions in crashes by using Engineering Solutions.
Advocates Cameras only when Engineering,
Public Awareness, and Police Enforcement
FAIL !!

Texas Study (2004)

"In many ways, the evidence points toward the installation of RLCs as a detriment to safety."

This is an excerpt from the Summary of the Study.

North Carolina Study (2004)

This is probably the first Study to show decreases
in Angle Crashes at the cost of increases in Rear-End Collisions.
Although the Study recommends continued use of Cameras, it concedes that the
Study is inconclusive as to the effectiveness of Cameras alone.
It should be noted that this Canadian Program
combines the use of Cameras AND stepped up Police Enforcement.

Ontario, Canada Study (2003)
